Harbinger Health-sponsored study evaluated a cfDNA methylation-based multi-cancer blood test in a held out, blinded case-control validation cohort of 1,721 participants. The test detected cancer signals in stage I–II GI cancers and predicted cancer signal origin among detected cases, with performance varying by cancer site and stage. The findings suggest potential for early-stage cancer detection and localization, including upper GI and pancreatobiliary cancers.
